What is Tylycon?
The “Tyly” in Tylycon is the Finnish translation of the “Hog” in Hogwarts and Hogsmead.
Tylycon is a one-day convention devoted to the Harry Potter bookseries and movies, and it will be organised on April 8th 2017. Fans of all ages are welcome; it does not matter if you are a long-time-fan or just now getting acquainted with the magical world. The purpose of Tylycon is to gather fans under one roof to mingle, discuss and enjoy the magic that is Harry Potter.
Tylycon is a volunteer based, non-profit convention organised by Luutakomero ry. Warner Bros. Entertainment and J.K. Rowling are not responsible for this event.
Tylycon will be held at Malmitalo (Ala-Malmin tori 1, 00700 Helsinki), only a short walking distance from the Malmi railway station. Further instructions on how to arrive can be found on Malmitalo's website.
In case you get really hungry, right next to Malmitalo there’s a shopping centre called Malmin Nova with a grocery store and several restaurants. The nearest ATM can be found in Malmin Nova as well.
The lobby area has free admission, but if you wish to participate in the events you will need to purchase a wristband in advance. The wristband enables entry to all events during the day.
Tickets are now sold out.
After you've purchased the tickets, they will be sent to you via email as a pdf-file. When arriving to the event you can show the ticket on ticket desk either from your mobile device or as a print and you will be given your wristband.
The programme will be mainly in Finnish, and the events will be a compilation of the ideas of our organisers and visitors. The events may be for example lectures, panels, workshops or competitions.
In addition, there will be an Artist Alley, where fans can sell their Potter fanart and other handmade products. The Artist Alley is open to all visitors.
